Mondays should no longer be the most depressing day of the week! At Max’s Bar we continue to roll out a new way for you to spend your Monday evenings. A spin on tasting sessions with relaxed approach and a much better soundtrack selected for you by Dan – (Rubadub, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams).

It’s an eclectic affair for your ears and your taste buds!

Every drink on the menu will be £2.50 a measure.
(That includes any cocktails made using the following alcohol selection).

Menu

Old Forester Bourbon 86 Proof (43% ABV): On the nose it is sharp and sweet, with a strong floral character that swirls with hints of mint, rich tobacco leaf and vanilla. To taste it is sharp at first, but softens quickly, with hints of oak, sweet corn and rye grain character. Spicy, with soft vanilla and light orange notes. It has a long finish that is warm and slightly drying with a nice level of sweetness.

El Jimador Silver Tequila (40% ABV): El Jimador Silver is a young, fresh and natural tequila. Made from 100% blue agave, this clear tequila is double-distilled to remove impurities and immediately bottled to preserve its crisp, authentic character. Its lively flavor and citrusy aftertones make it an exceptional choice for classic Mexican drinks and other festive cocktails.

Ypioca Cachaca Empalhada Ouro (39% ABV): Cachaca (cachaça) is a form of cane juice spirit produced uniquely in Brazil. It is the country’s national spirit, and the principal ingredient in the quintessential Brazilian cocktail, the caipirinha. Although technically a style of rum, cachaca is classified in Brazil as cane brandy. This is aged on oak barrells and has won bronze medal at the San francisco world spirits competition.

Toussant Coffee Rum Liqueur (30% ABV): Toussaint Coffee Rum Liqueur is made from a base of aged Caribbean rum, created with sugar which is harvested, distilled and aged in oak casks, and the finest Arabica coffee. The rum creates a sweet, woody, tobacco base balanced with the rich espresso notes from the coffee. Just a touch of sugar is added to deliver an authentic espresso flavour.

Chivas Regal 12 Year Old Whisky (40% ABV): On the nose it is an aromatic infusion of wild herbs, heather, honey and orchard fruits. To taste it is rich and fruity, Chivas bursts with the smooth taste of ripe, honeyed apples, and notes of vanilla, hazelnut and butterscotch with a generous, lingering finish.
